My Favorite Low GI Foods

 

Nuts and avocado (and even oils) are a great way to add calories without adding much carbohydrate.

I love peanut butter and use it to add some calories here and there. Though, I am concerned that all or too much of my extra calories will come from fat and protein, not carbs.

-salad - everyday
-hummus, beans, pita (or something like it) -everyday
-cereals (some vegan) - everyday
-tofu - some form of soy, soymilk - frequent, but not everyday
-rice/pasta/wheat or some other kind of carb... - almost everyday - but this is where it gets tricky since I have no option as to what type of carb they will serve on any given day
